"Jack Black is one of the funniest people I know, and it was wonderful working with him again," said Miranda. "He kept the entire cast and crew laughing in between takes with hilarious riffs of the battle song he sings in the episode."
Carlyand her gang — Sam, Freddie, and Spencer attend Webicon(think Comic-Con meets Vid-Con!) — an epic internet convention where they participate in a panel for their fans.
Spencer shows up in FULL costume with the intention of winning the costume contest dressed as Aruthorfrom the video game, War of Warlords. Once inside, Spencer is confronted by another enthusiastic Webicon-goer, played by none other than guest star Jack Black in full costume as Aruthor's arch-nemesis, Aspartamay.
An uproarious lyrical battle ensues with Aruthor and Aspartamay exchanging heated words and insults about each other’s costumes. Carly steps in to save the day, helping to defeat Aspartamay by ripping off the 'brawny jewel' necklace that contains his 'life force.'
"I was blown away by Jack Black," said Dan. "His role was very demanding and he worked his butt off and was a pleasure every minute...he is hilarious and the consummate professional – if he ever needs a kidney, he can have one of mine."
